The 6th International Conference on Medical and Biological Engineering (CMBEBIH 2025), the largest scientific and professional event of its kind in Southeast Europe, was held in Sarajevo from September 11 to 13. Under the motto “From Science to Business”, the conference gathered leading experts, researchers, innovators and decision-makers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region and beyond. Throughout three days of keynotes, panels, workshops, hackathon and training sessions, CMBEBIH 2025 highlighted the transformative role of artificial intelligence in medicine, healthcare digitalization and sustainable development of health systems. It also served as a regional platform for connecting science, industry, civil society and policy within the quadruple helix model of collaboration.
The (E)DIH FusionX participated actively in the conference program, contributing to discussions and practical activities focused on the digital and green transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Within the Industry Hub segment, FusionX experts engaged with companies to showcase how advanced technologies can be applied to increase competitiveness, improve efficiency and align with European sustainability goals. In doing so, FusionX reaffirmed its mission to act as a key enabler of digital innovation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, bridging the gap between research, business and institutions.
By taking part in CMBEBIH 2025, FusionX Hub emphasized the importance of collaboration between science, industry and policy-makers, and confirmed its commitment to building a resilient, competitive and sustainable economy in line with the European Digital Decade and Green Deal.
